Forget Hybrids
As you will know if you’ve followed this blog at all I don’t believe we need to go down the path of hybrid vehicles, it’s all just another example of how liberal loony tree huggin hippies want to control our lives for us!
Saab deliver 60mpg
The new Saab 9-3 TTiD, a 1.9L four cylinder block hooks up to 6 speed automatic or standard transmission and with the 2 stage turbo it manages to deliver 60 miles per gallon without a reduction in horsepower or torque.
The two stage turbo is set up with a smaller turbo for quicker power on take off when the exhaust flow is weaker, and a larger turbo kicks at cruising speed when engine rpm is higher.
Carbon Foot Print this Hippies
I will continue to say that this is the way we need to go, smaller diesel engines with turbo technology (click here to read more). ‘But it’s dirty diesel fuel’ I hear a hippy cry in the distance, dirty diesel fuel with a carbon foot print of only 149g/km (CO2).
I’m sure the green peace hippy will find something else to cry about.
