When it comes to value and reliability, Hyundai has been gaining respect in the auto industry. It has gained this respect quietly, over a few decades, by building better vehicles, and being one of the first in the industry to offer a 10 year or 100,000 miles warranty on the powertrain, you have to build a better vehicle to offer that kind of warranty.
I’ve driven a few different Hyundai’s, from their front wheel drive SUV Tucson to the sporty Tiburon coupe, and I found them fun to drive, zippy in city traffic and able to get you up to cruising speed on the highway easily. The Tiburon has become a better car over the years, again, because it is better built, although I did feel they should be able to get more than 172hp and 180ft/lb of torque out of their V6.

Genesis - Need for Speed
Well, now they might just satisfy that need for speed with this bad boy that was originally a concept, but now appears to be advancing to their production lines. The Hyundai Genesis is said to be appearing at the New York autoshow in spring 2008.

Breaking 300+hp and 300ft/lb of torque
This top-spec rear wheel drive coupe will have a 3.8L DOHC V6, and pump out similar numbers to the Ford Mustang GT 4.6L V8, and they will both weigh around the same. Hyundai will also offer a Brembo brakes optional package.

Great Beginning
Hyundai are obviously making a statement by calling this car Genesis, this creation will start a new beginning for their sports coupe line.
I’m sure I’ll write more on this in the future.
