Cast: Liam Neeson to play Hannibal
This has got to be the most awesome-st news today. There was the initial fear after the whole Knight Rider fiasco, but that fear should be washed away with the announcement that Liam Neeson will play George Peppard’s ‘cigar-smokin-man-with-a-plan’ Hannibal, UFC’s Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson will play the originator of Bling – B.A. ‘I ain’t getting on no plane Fool’ Baracus. And the best part, they will hold true to the original black and ‘go-fast’ red stripe GMC van. A Jessica Biel appearance is pretty good news too.
Face, Murdock, and Jessica Biel
Bradley Cooper will portray the smooth talking, Corvette driving Dirk Benedict Character of Templeton Peck a.k.a.Faceman. Sharlto Copley from District 9 will feature as ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, originally Dwight Schultz. Jessica Biel will play the occasional love interest of Face, Carissa Sosa.
A-Team Movie
The original A-Team opening credits still stirs that inner child excitement, this show was the best, right up there with Hasselhoff’s KnightRider. As a youth these were the best shows on TV. Cheesey, yes, but at the time we didn’t know, and most definitely didn’t care. There was always a good moral to the story and the good guys always won. That’s all we needed to know.
Let’s hope the director get it right, we don’t need another mockery of an original classic come June 11th 2010. They could start by getting some ‘bling’ on Rampage.
