A Hot Rod Legend
The hot rod guru from TV’s ‘American Hot Rod’, Boyd Coddington died Wednesday morning at 6:20am.
The Hawaiian shirt clad designer earned his keep fabricating customized rat rods and not a lot of people know that another legend, Chip Foose, worked for Boyd at one time and ‘Monster Garage’ bike builder Jesse James also learned his trade under Coddingtons wing.
Boyd was also famous for designing custom wheels that went for $2000 per wheel in the 80’s, totally unheard of at the time.
