Bob Lutz is Ready
The GM Vice Chairman is geared up. The test runs are completed. The five competitors have been chosen. The date and time is set. Just six days from now at Monticello Motor Club, on October 29th 2009 at 10:00am.
The Challenge
Bob Lutz challenged anyone to take on the Cadillac 556hp CTS-V with another production sedan, claiming there is no other that can beat the GM luxury sedan.
Well, Bob had no shortage of applicants lining up to make him eat is words, it was reported close to 130 applications were received in just a few weeks.
GM have decided who the challengers will be, though they will not release details until race day.
