Ratcheting Wrench Set

Like most guys, I love to buy tools! Even when I don’t need them, it doesn’t matter whether it’s the tool truck at work or the tool section at the local hardware store, I always want to go look at tools.
Well tomorrow, Saturday 28th of November, Sears are offering a GearWrench 8-pc ratcheting combo wrench set for $29.99, that $40 off the regular price! I’ve seen Sears sell these for $59 before, but I’ve never seen them this low. This has to be one of my top picks for the Black Friday Weekend. You have to get there between 8am – 12noon.

GearWrench Mechanic Tools

When it comes to my mechanic tools, I only like to buy quality. My toolbox is filled with (too much) Snap-on, Mac, and Matco tools. Another tool I’ve developed a lot of confidence in, is GearWrench. Their ratcheting wrenches can take a lot of abuse, and they are definitely putting out some quality products.
I recently stopped by the GearWrench booth at the SEMA Show and found they had their product developers there, not just sales faces, but the guys that design and develop the product. As a mechanic to be able to talk to these guys and tell them what I like about their product and what options I’d like to see available was a cool experience, and that’s what they were there for, to listen, and you could see they were excited to talk to the end-user of their product, even taking notes and asking question to better understand the customer needs.

GearWrench on Facebook

If you’re in to tools, then check them out on Facebook where I believe they will be giving away tools from time to time. You can also keep up to date on the latest tools they release. At the show they featured a quick change internal/external jaw-type puller that was the best design I’ve seen on the market, it changed over quickly, felt sturdy in your hand, didn’t flop around like a lot of pullers, it took good grip, and again instilled confidence in its ability. The said it would be available next year, around February, and will certainly be making its way to my toolbox. Hopefully nearer the time I can get details to pass on.
