110mpg diesel-electric combo
A concept from the Detroit motor show, power fed from lithium-ion batteries to electric motors, one placed on each axle to produce 268hp with help from a 1.5L 3 cylinder diesel engine that can achieve 110mpg and has a range of 400 miles – that’s works out to be a little over a 3.5 gallon gas tank!
Looks like it’s built for fun with open top and large tires that would look more at home on a moon buggy than a 4×4 mud grappling, rock climbing jeep but this high-tech machine would have real 4×4 capabilities with low range gearing and locking differentials.

(and didn’t someone just write about smaller fuel efficient diesel engines?)

Michael J Schmitz, I hate you. You are not Billy Mays, take off the caps. You make me believe there should be an English proficiency test in order for you to use the internet as well. AND that Jeep is hideous and a disgrace to Jeeps.
