$4500 per Limited Edition Copy

The billet bound book illustrates the construction of the commissioned Ford billet roadster, idea of Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle. This particular edition will set you back a hefty $4500, the book covers every detail from conception to completion of his ultimate dream car.

Extremely Limited Edition

The book was originally put together as a gift for those closely involved through the two and half year build process. Each book cover requires over 30 hours of CNC mill time and more than 35lb of aluminum plate. The finished product is then bound round the 23 chapter book. Inside, each page is printed on premium 12” x 12” cover stock, which includes the step-by-step process involved to create such a distinctive machine, with a chapter even dedicated to the production of the cover.

Reasoning

Now, I can understand the logic behind this journal, the chronicle of this one of a kind build must have been very special to those that were a part of the unique experience. But, why would someone else want to fork out $4,500 for a narrative of the account?
Especially when they plan to publish a standard hard back edition, and even better than that, you can download the entire book for free from the Kirkham Motorsport website.
