A Realistic Green Sports Car
This British engineered torque monster is the offering of Lightning Motor Company, their attempt to sway the masses over to the dark side of the electric motor and away from combustion chambers.
Oh how tempting, with 553 lb-ft of torque that will get you to 60mph from a standstill in only 4 seconds. Top speed is a modest 130mph but they claim it will deliver a range of 250 miles per charge, the nano lithium titanate batteries (yeah, I don’t know either) recharge in only 10 minutes!
It will come equipped with the desired creature comforts of A/C, Leather, ABS, and all standard features you would expect from a higher-end car.

“Without a significant positive shift in perception,” the company says, “electric motoring will remain a large compromise in the eyes of driving enthusiasts and therefore fail to impress the masses.”

An Un-Realistic Green Sports Car Price
This is my problem with hybrid/green technology, it’s just too expensive! With an electric motor in each wheel and all the computer technology involved, it is too expensive to buy and will be expensive to maintain.
MSRP is expected to be just under $300,000, I’d rather spend a fraction of that on something that on something that goes faster and sounds better!
V8’s Rule, Electric Motors Drool.
