Mazda Attraction
We hit the Mazda exhibit by about noon on the first day of the press access and they had already run out of media disk and press kits, not a normal occurrence at these events, but when you take a look at the Mazda 2 renderings they had on display, it’s not surprising their exhibit was so busy.

Ford Platform
The Mazda drew just as much attention as the Ford Fiesta, that’s no surprise considering they share the same platform, and the Mazda 2 will most likely hit dealership showrooms with a cheaper price tag. Even though they plan to release this model next year Mazda still haven’t released a lot of information on this sporty FWD sub-compact.
Mark Fields, Ford’s American President told a Bloomberg reporter the company may stop platform sharing with Mazda in the future, if this happens industry analysts have already said Mazda would most likely struggle and may not be able to survive on their own.
“The reality is Mazda is too small to do it on their own,” auto analyst Aaron Bragman of IHS Global Insight told Bloomberg in an interview.
