You get what you pay for

When it comes to tires the best replacement you can put on your ride is the same you plan to take off, auto manufacturers invest a lot of money into researching which tire offers the best traction, handling, and ride quality, so it may cost a little extra to get that brand name installed again but it is worth the money.

Don’t push the limits

2/32nd of an inch is the minimum legal limit but I strongly recommend you start looking when you get around the 4/32” mark, when you tread starts to disappear you become vulnerable under wet conditions due to the fact that the water as no tread depth to get in and the result is a layer of water under the tire to slide on when you decide you need to stop.

Maintain your Investment

Maintaining your tires is relatively easy, rotate them every 5000 miles and have them balanced every 10,000 as a rough guide, I normally rotate mine with every other oil change and every other rotate I have them balanced.
Keep an eye on your tire pressure, there is normally a sticker on the frame inside the driver door jamb with the recommended tire pressure, check it every month or if there is a drop in temperature, this also helps fuel economy.
A lot of people think alignments are a waste of money, but they will really help with the life of your tread, an alignment helps ensure that the tread maintains proper contact with the road in turns, and helps avoid abnormal tread wear.

I need to get all 4 replaced tomorrow. I was thinking of going for budget, but may fork out a bit more for something better.
